This year was the first year we had a real xmas tree. Grabbed one at Home Depot. It was a nice full one. Lucky.

Brandi's parents were with us. Beckett's second xmas. Fun.

Went through the digging up of weeds and trying to lessen the grade from the side of the house to the ditch. Flattened it out too.

Next is some benches and planters to cover up the drainage ditch.

We were going to put down some woodchips and stepping stones in the backyard and then got waylayed.

We let the backyard get overgrown again.

So we decided to put in some grass.

Stepping Out

Beckett's friend RJ got one of these walking things. It wasn't going to happen that RJ walks before Beckett because he is two days younger than Beckett! So...We had to get one.

Beckett loves it (even though this picture says otherwise) and goes racing around the living and dining room.

I've been holding out my hands to him when he hits a dead end. This necessitates him reaching out to take a couple of baby steps to get to me without holding anything.

Soon.

Beckett saw the parade for the Lompoc Flower Festival this year.

He thought the little girls with the shiny pom-poms were cool!

Nashville vs Lompoc

Brandi's parents are moving into a brand new house, on an acre of land outside of Nashville, that was bought for below the asking price of $224,543.

$224,543

That would be less than what we paid for our happy little townhome in Lompoc, CA.

Forever Light

Took me forever to get this thing up. There was two little stubs that need to be threaded and then this plate connected to them through some fireproof insulation...It sucked.

Now for the one at the top of the stairs when we start the upstairs.

...Which will be after the Baby room is complete.

At least that is what babycenter.com says.

We have our first doctor's appointment on Wednesday.

Everything is going as planned...

Broken

Every piece of gardening equipment I get from Home Depot is a piece of junk.

I broke the middle tine of this thing a half hour into the first time I used it today. A larger broom length hoe/3 pronged thing got destroyed during the first time I used it also along with some other small hand tools that have been bent or broken.

I do not have superhuman strength. Just Shoddy materials in something from a limited supply to choose from at Home Depot.
